988 Crisis Line
988 is a direct, three-digit, and easy to remember phone number to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline call takers. Beginning July 16, 2022, 988 will be available 24/7, 365 days a year. Trained counselors, who are not clinicians, are available to provide free, confidential emotional support for people in distress and answer all calls at local crisis call centers. With an easy to remember number like 988, the Lifeline hopes to reach many more people in emotional crisis and connect those to services if needed.
Access to both mental health and substance use disorder services within the CMHPSM region is provided through our Community Mental Health Service Provider (CMHSP) partners within the region.

The nonprofit Women’s Center provides therapy and other women-supportive services to help individuals achieve economic and emotional health.
Participants (age 16+) benefit from the help of a psychotherapist, parenting specialist, career or financial coach, divorce specialist, family law attorney, or financial adviser. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINIC-EMU
The Community Behavioral Health Clinic offers convenient, affordable and low-cost psychological services for a range of behavioral, emotional, cognitive, developmental, lifespan, health-related, family-of-origin and interpersonal issues. Services are provided by clinical psychology graduate students under the supervision of licensed faculty.
EMU Early Childhood Satellite Clinics
Behavioral health services (including no-cost assessment and therapy services) are currently available at the EMU Children's Institute, The Collaborative: YMCA Ypsilanti Child Development Center, the Ford Early Learning Center, the Beatty Early Learning Center, and the Perry Early Learning Center. These satellite clinics provide assessment, parent-guidance, and child therapy for issues such as:
Behavior problems
Fears, worry, or anxiety
Anger, tantrums, or aggressive behavior
Excessive sadness or withdrawn behavior
Stressful or scary experiences
Parent-child relationship problems
Adjustment issues
Problems with routines, sleeping, or eating
Social problems
Services are provided by clinical psychology graduate students under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist and take place at the centers or virtually through a confidential zoom platform. Appointments are available during CBHC clinic hours. If your child attends the EMU Children's Institute, the Ypsilanti YMCA Child Development Center, the Ford Early Learning Center, or the Beatty Early Learning Center and you are interested in services, please complete this online questionnaire.

The Maternal Infant Health Program, or “MIHP” is a home visiting program provided to pregnant Medicaid recipients and their babies. Participants gain access to a dedicated team of healthcare providers that value your health and success in parenting.
