Home-based Early Head Start

Parents are their children’s first and most influential teachers.

Washtenaw Intermediate School Districts’ Early Head Start program partners with families to support the growth and development of your child. With your home visitor, you will partner to jointly plan home visits that center the needs of your child and family. Home visits occur weekly and last for 90 minutes each.

As a participant you will receive the following:

  1. Education around Development Centered Parenting.
  2. Development Screening and health education.
  3. Ongoing child assessment.
  4. Family well-being and goal achievement.

Through direct, meaningful partnerships with families, we develop parenting and developmental goals to support infants, toddlers, and their parents in their daily lives.
